#MomTok is back. Our favorite Utah influencers are returning to our screens for the third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, premiering tomorrow.
Since its release in September 2024, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has become a pop culture phenomenon. Chronicling the group of women who form #MomTok, the viral cohort of young Mormon influencer moms on TikTok, the hit Hulu series explores the complexities of faith, female friendship and femininity — as well as the pressures of social media fame.
The women may have survived the drama of the previous two seasons, but tensions are far from alleviated in Season 3. Below, we’ve rounded up everything to know ahead of the season premiere.
When does The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3 come out?
The third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be available to stream on Hulu on Thursday, Nov. 13. All 10 episodes will drop at 12 a.m. ET.
Who is returning for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3?
All nine of the original cast are set to return for the third season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives:
What can we expect for Season 3?
If Hulu’s official synopsis is any indication, more drama is certainly brewing for the upcoming season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives:
“#Momtok is back, but damaging revelations and allegations threaten its future. The members face a crisis of friendship as loyalties shift, trust is tested, and the lines between fact and fiction blur. When the pursuit of the truth calls character into question, a war over morality begins and a clash between #Momtok and #Dadtok erupts. With their sisterhood and everything they’ve built hanging in the balance, can the women find a path forward to salvation? Or will their collective sins destroy #Momtok for good?”
A Season 3 trailer was also released in late October, which hinted at what’s to come for the ever-fractured friend group. The trailer opens with a girls’ trip gone bad, Whitney announcing she’s starting her own #MomTok, Jen’s return and Layla telling Jessi what Vanderpump Villa’s Marciano Brunette told her. A lie detector test is also threatened, as the girls grow skeptical of Miranda’s friendship with Demi.
“If there’s one thing we’re good at, it’s getting to the bottom of a scandal,” Mikayla says in the trailer.
Wait. What happened in Season 1 and Season 2?
Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives unpacks the fallout of a “soft-swinging” sex scandal that threatens to tear the group of moms apart. The first season shows Taylor trying to make amends with the other women after “exposing” their arrangement to the public on TikTok in 2022. Taylor’s relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, is also a major plot point. The couple endures their fair share of turmoil, which culminates in Taylor’s 2023 domestic violence arrest and cheating allegations against Dakota. Elsewhere, Whitney is excommunicated from the group, and Jen temporarily leaves #MomTok.
Season 2 sees more of this drama unfold: Taylor and Dakota break up; Jen struggles with depression during her pregnancy, which prompts her abrupt departure from the second season; Whitney rejoins #MomTok; and Demi is officially the new villain among the group. The most explosive revelation of the season, however, is Jessi’s alleged affair with Marciano.
What has The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast said about Season 3?
During the Nov. 12 episode of Good Morning America, Jessi, Jen, Layla and Miranda discussed what’s to come for Season 3. Jessi revealed that the upcoming season puts focus on her personal life, following last season’s explosive cliffhanger.
“Season 3 definitely focuses on my personal life,” Jessi said. “I’m excited for the audience to see it and hopefully relate to my story, but it is embarrassing for sure. … Luckily, all these girls are my best friends, so opening up to them wasn’t difficult.”
Layla said that the new season will show a different side of her.
“Season 1 and 2, I was a shell of a human. I was going through so much behind the scenes that wasn’t shown. I was in the process of a divorce and kind of just stepping into who I was as a person,” she said. “I feel like Season 3, I just kind of found my voice and my light, and a new side of Layla. I’m excited for everyone to see it.”
What has The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast been up to?
When they aren’t filming their hit Hulu series, some of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars are busying themselves with other opportunities in reality TV. Jen and Whitney, for instance, joined the season 34 cast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, which premiered in September. While Jen was eliminated in Week 7 of the dancing competition, Whitney is currently still in the running for the mirror ball trophy.
Taylor will also be the lead for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star made the official announcement during an episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in September, making her the first influencer and reality star to helm a season of the long-running dating franchise.
Fans won’t need to worry about conflicting schedules either: Taylor promises she’ll continue starring on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives while filming The Bachelorette.
“To be honest, surreal. It has not hit me,” she told Cooper. “Like, right now, in this moment, I’m just thinking about it, and it’s, like, not real. It’s not real. And it’s not going to be until I think the limo’s pulling up, you know? Meeting the people. So nervous.”
The 22nd season of The Bachelorette is set to debut in 2026.
